Visa Buzz Prepaid Cards

Please be prepared to set aside 15 minutes to complete the enrollment process entirely. For security purposes, the webpage will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity. The application cannot be saved then restarted at a later time. If you are the parent, please complete the “Create Parent Profile,” “Add a Funding Account,” “Confirm Enrollment” and “Review and Accept Terms and Conditions” sections. The parent profile will need to be completed before setting up the student card. To set up the student card, please complete the “Select a Card,” “Create Student Profile,” “Initial Card Value,” “Card Maintenance Options” and “Review Order” sections. Please take a moment to gather the below information before starting the enrollment process. This will ensure a smooth process.

Section 1: The parent will need the following information to enroll online:

• Parent’s Social Security Number (to validate identity)

• Parent’s Ellite Debit Card or Ellite Visa or Mastercard^® credit card* (will be used to fund the card)

• Parent’s date of birth

• Parent’s address

• Parent’s will need to select user name, password and security question for the Buxx website

Section 2: The student will need the following information to enroll online:

• Student’s Social Security Number (to validate identity)

• Student’s date of birth
• Student’s address
• Student’s email address (optional: to receive email alerts)
• The student (to choose their favorite card design, user name, password and security question for the BUXX website)

*The Visa Buxx Card is initially loaded during the “Add New Student” process by using a Ellite Debit Card or Ellite Visa or Mastercard credit card.* The initial load amount onto a card can be between $20 and $500. This will be processed as a normal transaction (not a cash advance). Additionally, you will have the option to set up automatic funding to help take the stress out of giving your students cash.

• Reload Anytime Parents can load funds anytime online, over the phone or with automatic transfers from their Ellite Debit Card or credit card.*

• Visa ReadyLink Students can add funds, too! Visa ReadyLink is a convenient service that provides a way to add funds to your Visa Buxx Card at thousands of U.S. locations, including 7-Eleven, Safeway and Tom Thumb stores! Visa ReadyLink Locator

• Family and Friends Parents can authorize family and friends to fund the student’s Visa Buxx Card for birthdays, graduation, etc. Family and friends must also be Ellite members.

• Cash Access Parents can choose weekly cash limits at the ATM and for cash back at participating merchants. ATM Locator

• Roadside Dispatch A pay-per-use roadside assistance program provided especially for Visa Buxx cardholders. The program provides you with security and convenience wherever your travels take you.

• Purchase Security Will replace, repair or fully reimburse you for the amount debited from your Visa Buxx Card of eligible items of personal property purchased with the Visa Buxx Card in the event of theft or damage caused by eligible events.

• Travel and Emergency Assistance Services Will put you in touch with the appropriate emergency services should the need arise.

• Text Messaging¹ Parents and students can receive free text messages that will update them on card activity such as daily available balances, value load and low balance!

• Visa Money Transfer Your Visa Buxx Card is eligible to receive funds through Visa Money Transfer.

• Boosts Financial Responsibility Teaches students budgeting skills for managing their money today and in the future.

Using the Ellite Visa Buxx Card for a purchase is similar to using a debit card. At the time of purchase, select “CREDIT,” sign the receipt, and go! Or select “DEBIT” if prompted and enter your Personal Identification Number (“PIN”). In order to select your PIN, click “Sign In” on this website. Then click “Create PIN.” If your parent has given you cash access, this is your ATM PIN as well.
